Share the Dignity Australia - How to help end Period Poverty

Natural Supply Co - official Geelong collection point for Share the Dignity

We are so proud to be an offical collection point for Share the Dignity Australia every March. Each year we participate in this worthy cause to help end period poverty.

Why Donate to Share the Dignity?

Menstruating isn't a choice but those experiencing period poverty often have to choose between purchasing period products or other essential items just to get by. We’d rather they didn’t have to choose.

That’s why twice a year in March and August, we call on Australians to donate period products through our Dignity Drive, to be distributed to our charity partners across the country. By donating period products you will ensure women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of domestic violence, homelessness or poverty have access to period products when they need them.

    About Share the Dignity

Share the Dignity works to make a real, on-the-ground difference to the lives of women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, domestic violence or poverty. They distribute period products to those in need and work to achieve menstrual equity here in Australia. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.

Share the Dignity partner with over 3,000 charities nationally, helping them to assist the women, girls and those who menstruate who desperately need access to period products. This is achieved through the Dignity Drives and Dignity Vending Machines. They also collect and distribute bags filled with essential items to the people we support at Christmas time through our annual It’s in the Bag campaign.

Working tirelessly with over 6,000 volunteers, the charity has been able to deliver over 4 million packets of period products and over 800,000 essential-filled handbags to Australian women, girls and those who menstruate.

Share the Dignity continues to grow with the support of passionate volunteers and the generosity of Australian businesses, ensuring that everyone is afforded the dignity in life that many of us take for granted.

Share the Dignity was founded in 2015, and have collected and distributed over 4 million period products to those who menstruate.
