Rosacea is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that most often affects the face, characterised by red, visible blood vessels and hot skin. It worsens with time if left untreated, and can often be mistaken for acne, eczema, or a skin allergy.
Rosacea symptoms can come and go; they may flare up for a few weeks, fade, and then come back.
It's important to see a doctor if you suspect you might have rosacea, and to use gentle, calming skincare products.
