Bondi Wash - what's NOT in our products

It is not so easy to communicate just how different Bondi Wash products are from other brands without appearing negative. But there are many ingredients we would not consider using that are in other products - many even claiming 'natural' or 'organic' status.

Ingredient names are long and hard to remember, so here we list just 3 of the most common offenders - and why at Bondi Wash, we choose not to include them. Not including them does make formulating more complex - and products need longer in development - but we are committed to bringing you the most natural products we can.

Our top 3 'Ingredients we avoid' in Bondi Wash:

Phenoxyethanol - a widely-used, relatively new preservative known to cause organ damage in high concentrations, famous for causing illness in infants via a nipple cream and under investigation for increasing reports of skin irritation.

Methylisothiazolinone - another new preservative, becoming strictly regulated in Japan and Europe due to nasty skin reactions (swelling, redness). Often found in hand and body washes, baby wipes and cleaning products.

Synthetic fragrance - a labelling loophole - you don't know what's in it and what's in it is usually not very nice.  Reactions are wide-ranging but include headaches, irritability, dizziness and skin burning and itching.
