The Archivist journey began in 1998 down in the archives of the Natural History Museum and is an element of our past that we are incredibly proud to celebrate. In 2025, we pay homage to this crucial part of our beginnings by releasing a range of matchbox designs that have been made in collaboration with the Natural History Museum.
The Common American Swan by John J. Aududon: The culmination of over 12 years of work, The Birds of America is a masterpiece that features some of the most stunning bird paintings of all time. One of the most valuable natural history books ever published, it shows birds in natural positions and native habitats. Using a variety of materials to create highly dramatic style, the book features almost 500 species and Audubon is considered one of the greatest bird artists of all time.
