Cooki Haircare came to life from two obsessions: to reduce plastic waste in the world, and to lessen the amount of chemicals we’re all exposing ourselves to in our beauty products everyday. Cooki’s owner and co-founder Jaimee Vilela is extremely passionate about both.

The quote that best sums up Cooki’s mission comes from Anne-Marie Bonneau: “We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly."

In our view, the same ethos can be applied to going low tox – it’s not about perfection, becoming obsessive, or never enjoying a spritz of perfume or fabric softener again; it’s simply about becoming more aware, and reducing as much as you can.
