These myths tell of Aphrodite, Eros and the rose — a symbol born from beauty, desire and devotion. The rose is said to be named for Eros himself, its thorns echoing his arrows of love, and its red petals stained by Aphrodite’s blood as she ran to save her lover Adonis. From love and loss, the red rose became a lasting emblem of devotion. Rosa Divina draws from these stories, honouring the rose and the incense once burned in Aphrodite’s ancient temples.
