As you all know by now, we love any excuse to catch up and do brunch, enjoy a good coffee or, at any opportunity, a glass of prosecco! So because sharing is caring, we're going to visit some of our favourite local hot spots (across Geelong and Melbourne) and share the love, starting with... Southside Geelong.
Celeste chose this cafe as it's one of her faves, and it's easy with babies. The Brooklyn pepperoni pizza... oh my!
Southside was great as we were meeting as a group of five adults plus two babies, and the space is pretty big with a number of six seater tables, plus a massive sharing table at the front should you be in a much bigger group. The interior is beautifully designed, with amazing framed photographs lining the walls that were taken by the owner of Southside - creative AND a savvy businesswoman!
The staff were lovely, the coffee amazing (Sensory Lab) but ultimately it's always the food that seals the deal for us. We dined on the smashed avo and feta, poached eggs with a bevvy of sides, the acai bowl (Cam's favourite after discovering them in Hawaii!) and we even tried the divine homemade wagon wheel - seriously delicious!
If we had to pick a winner, the acai bowl was divine and devoured by Cam and little Charlie Bear - always a good sign!
Thanks Southside for a lovely brunch experience.
