If you’ve been diffusing a bunch of different scents and want to start fresh, we recommend this deep clean twice a month.
How to clean a diffuser with vinegar
-
Unplug your diffuser and take the stone cover and water reservoir lid off. Empty out any water that’s left in the diffuser.
-
Wipe out the water reservoir and lid with a damp cloth to get rid of any essential oil residue.
-
Fill the water reservoir up halfway and add one teaspoon of white vinegar.
-
Run the diffuser for three to five minutes. This mixture will clear out any leftover residue.
To clean your stone cover, run it under warm water and scrub it gently with a soft-bristle brush.

If you are looking to avoid vinegar or do not have any at home right now, you can also clean your diffuser simply by taking a clean, damp cloth and wiping out the inside water reservoir. Doing this once a week will keep your diffuser fresh.
