Lady Botanica Internal Cleanse at Natural Supply Co

Material written by Lady Botanica - all info can be found here.

The use of living clay can be traced back to ancient Essenes and Biblical times, where it served as a staple of life for many cultures all over the world as a superior and effective cleansing method. Its use primarily focuses on releasing toxic burden, restoring nutritional status and achieving vitality and equilibrium within the body.

Lady Botanica's 100% natural calcium bentonite clay powder is a compound of trace minerals composed of volcanic ash that formed in the pristine Mojave Desert millions of years ago. Its powerful negative ionic charge is activated on hydration, blessing it with the ability to attract, adsorb, absorb and bind positive ionic charges (toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, bacteria, parasites and more).

It is a safe and gentle practice to cleanse, detox, balance, heal and re-energise the body.

Clay Uses

Drink

'Absolutely Wonderful' - you've decided to drink Calcium Bentonite clay, or you're at least curious enough to give it a go.  I myself can't give it a bigger rap; to me it's Pure Magic. It possesses an abundance of unique benefits that spiral towards achieving positive health. As a catalyst, it works in symphony with the body to cleanse, restore, balance and heal. It helps to absorb and remove toxins, cleanses the colon, alkalises an over-acidified environment and re-energises the body.  When using clay internally, I always suggest a clean, pure, untreated food-grade clay and begin with an intense cleansing regime (such as Lady Botanica's 28-Day Intenal Toxin Cleanse) to clean house and balance. In this simple four week program, the clay powder is introduced gradually and the amounts are increased weekly.

Face

Calcium Bentonite clay has the ability to absorb excess oils, dirt, impurities and harmful toxins. So when applied as a mask on the face it does exactly that! It can also help to increase circulation, pull blood flow to the skins surface, encourage cell renewal, tighten and tone, fade scarring, reduce fine lines and unblock and reduce the size of your pores. For those of you who suffer from skin disorders, andfor those of you who don't), the huge upside to using calcium bentonite is that it's an All-Natural healing alternative that can offer you a myriad of benefits including deep radical cleansing, regaining your glow and helping relieve problematic skin in a Non-Toxic manner.

Mask InstructionsCombine 1 part clay powder with 3 parts water and mix until lump free and of a smooth consistency. Store any remaining mask in an air tight container. Apply desired amount to face and remove with wet wash cloth after 15-20 minutes. (Some redness & irritation can sometimes occur, but usually subsides within 24 hours).

Teeth

Due to its ability to catch and bind bacteria, impurities and toxins, it makes for excellent use with oral health care.  Combine a little clay powder with your toothpaste, brush and rinse. Feet

Our feet, the pack horses of our body, support our structure as we walk and move endlessly throughout this earth, keep us grounded and serving us well are subject to stress and strain, are often overlooked and easily forgotten. Foot soaks are an easy alternative to immersing your entire body in a clay bath and convenient for those not a fan of baths or those physically unable to get in and out of the tub. Mirroring similar benefits as clay baths, soaking your feet in a tub of clay can help to enhance your wellbeing and balance energy, remove toxins, relieve aches and pains, plus may also assist with skin conditions such as foot fungus and toe nail infections.

Eat

A super easy and inviting opportunity for you to incorporate the clay into your diet is to mix it with your food.  Sprinkle or pre-hydrate a little or a lot and mix it with your baking or cooking, marinades and salad dressings, soups, stir fries and Buddha bowls, cakes, muffins and raw desserts, chia puddings, smoothie bowls and protein balls. Mix it with everything; your breakfast, lunch and dinner. BE ADVENTUROUS! Depending on the amount you add, you won't even know it's there.  (If combining with dry ingredients, pre-hydrate your clay with a little water for activation and remember to drink plenty of water "filtered please" over the course of your day).

Bath

Clay baths are an increasingly popular and relatively easy method for effectively cleansing and detoxing the body through your external housing, your skin - a major detoxifying organ. Immersing yourself in a clay bath encourages the release of toxins that have accumulated over time and been stored in fatty tissues and joints. In addition to helping stimulate and support cleansing, it works with the body to achieve optimum health, assisting with increased circulation, pulling blood flow to the skin's surface , encouraging cell renewal and awakening latent cell energy. It promotes healing, full body relaxation and a feeling of balance and tranquillity. (Try Lady Botanica's 2-Day External Toxin Cleanse).

Clay baths are to be taken 3 days apart, 1 cup of clay powder per bath.

Bath Instructions:

OPTION 1 - Premix clay by combining 1/2 cup of clay powder with 3 cups of water in a plastic shaker or bottle and shake well, add to warm running bath water. Repeat this method with an additional 1/2 cup of clay powder and soak in bath for 15-20 minutes.

OPTION 2 Alternatively sprinkle one cup of clay powder to warm running bath water and agitate until dissolved. Soak in bath for 15-20 minutes.
