Celeste's top three favourite facial oils

I am a facial oil addict - I use them as my serum and moisturiser in one, morning and evening. The best bit is you can you use them around your eye area, too (it's worth testing this to see if it works for you, too) so no extra eye cream is required.

I usually have three open and use them on rotation, how and when I feel like it. They hydrate skin beautifully, leaving it comfortable, soft and smooth - and facial oils also provide the perfect canvas for makeup application.

My top three facial oils are:

MAHALO Vitality Elixir

Mahalo Vitality Elixir at Natural Supply Co

This little gem looks amazing (let's be honest - that helps) and its golden contents are full of goodness, making it a beauty potion that combines key ingredients sea buckthorn, turmeric, CoEnzyme Q10 and more to provide a bevvy of benefits: it is anti-ageing, rejuvenating, hydrating and has anti-inflammatory properties to care for the skin.

It can help to fade wrinkles and age spots, balance oil production and stimulate growth of new cells, all while keeping your skin fed and nourished.

I have combination skin, so I love the Mahalo Vitality Elixir because when I use it I experience neither dry patches nor oiliness; just supple, happy skin. If I could only use one facial oil forever, it would be this one.

Ivadore Love Oil Treatment

Ivadore Love Oil Treatment at Natural Supply Co

Another facial oil which is suitable for all skin types is Ivadore's Love Oil Treatment. I initially tried this because of the name (how could I resist - I am such a sop!) but I kept using it because it is LUSH!

The scent of the Love Oil Treatment is just gorgeous, and I love applying it before bed - it's become something of a ritual for me. To me, it smells like neroli, but as the only ingredients in this beauty are camellia oil, shea oil and marula oil (all organic to boot), I am guessing one of these oils has the gorgeous scent!

These lovely oils work together to help fight free radicals that cause premature ageing, calm irritated skin, regulate and balance oil production and add vital nutrients that are needed to attain a flawless and radiant complexion. Sounds good, right? And it is. It's made in Australia, too, so definitely worth adding to your list of products to try. Your skin will thank you!

DnA Elements Jojoba Oil - Nature's Youth Elixir

DnA Elements Jojoba Oil at Natural Supply Co

Jojoba (pronounced 'ho-ho-ba') is universally known as 'nature's wrinkle fighter', working to naturally retain moisture in skin cells whilst also keeping your face looking firm and radiant. It is also naturally hypo-allergenic and rich in powerful antioxidants, omega 6 and 9, fatty acids and vitamins A, D and E.

This no-frills gem is great for all skin types, especially sensitive and combination to oily skin types, so it is a staple in my routine for days where I feel I want something super gentle, lightweight and simple. This is a great option to dip your toes into facial oils too, if you want to see what all the fuss is about!

TIP: I spritz a toning mist over my skin before applying facial oils - damp skin helps the oil to penetrate into the skin better, plus you can use less oil as it is easier to massage into damp skin. My favourite is the Jacqueline Evans Rooibos Facial Toner, which has additional skin-loving benefits.

My ageing-yet-blemished (not fair!) skin is something I have a lot more trouble controlling now in my 30s than I ever did in my teens and 20s. Face oils were a revelation to be because rather than dealing with the symptom of excess oil production, over time, it stops it from happening in the first place! I’ve tried an array of rose hip oils and blends that were nice. Some were a little pore-clogging which led me to look at the comedogenic ratings of various face oils. The clear winner turned out to be hempseed oil, with a ZERO rating, but still rich in the nutrients that skin loves.

I was pleased to find you had the La Mav hempseed oil here at Natural Supply Co and it was inexpensive. The bright green colour and strong scent of grass clippings took a bit of getting used to, haha, but once I got past that, I ended up with the smoothest, clearest, bump-free skin I have had in years after just a week of nightly use. Admittedly, I don’t use it every day as I love to try different products all the time, but when my skin is being particularly troublesome, the hempseed oil does the job of balancing and smoothing my skin out, every time.
