From nourishing brekkies, salads and bowls to wholesome main dishes and divine desserts, Whole by Natural Harry contains more than 100 plant-based wholefood recipes for friends and family, striking the perfect balance between whole, simple, satisfying and tasty.

Whole captures the distinct and covetable vibe of author Harriet Birrell's beachside lifestyle, one where her priorities are good food, wellness, surfing and family. Harriet's philosophy is all about celebrating and enjoying the abundance of wholefood available and preparing it in a way that is easy and tasty.

Refined white sugar is replaced with the whole vitamin- and mineral-rich ingredients such as Medjool dates, banana and maple syrup. Refined flours are replaced with minimally processed whole grains. Only a few recipes contain gluten and these are accompanied by gluten-free alternatives in the notes.

We hope your copy finds a permanent home on your kitchen bench, and becomes lovingly tattered and bookmarked with the occasional splatter from time spent preparing delicious meals. We hope its pages are filled with the kinds of foods that you want to eat 90% of the time: Real, whole, satisfying, nourishing, healthy dishes. True comfort foods.

About the author: Harriet Birrell is an authentic and inspiring local. on a mission to show people how easy (and fulfilling!) it can be to reduce waste and live a cleaner, tox-free life. Based on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula, Harriet started her food journey serving organic smoothies and raw desserts from a caravan on a bush block at Barwon Heads. This culminated in her first book, Natural Harry, the success of which led to Whole (driven by her equally passionate mission to celebrate the abundance of whole, colourful plant foods and recipes). When she is not cooking, or surfing, or tending her veggie patch with dog Fred by her side, she is busy working on her blog, hosting workshops and creating content designed to make people think. Harriet is a qualified health coach and yoga teacher, and has studied plant-based nutrition at e-Cornell University. She also has an advanced diploma in fashion design.
