Gwen and Lindsay founded The Laundress in New York because they were sick of paying high dry cleaning bills, which also damaged their clothes, and they wanted to create an eco-friendly alternative product. Their fabric friendly products are 100% biodegradable, nontoxic (no phthalate, phosphate, paraben or bleach), allergen and gluten-free, plus they test the product on themselves, not on animals! You can see why we had to stock The Laundress for you.
Why - because fabric care and cleaning products don't have to be full of chemicals
As graduates from Cornell University’s Fiber Science, Textile and Apparel Management and Design program, Gwen and Lindsay saw an opportunity to advance the world of fabric care.
When washing your clothes, you don’t need to use as much product as general fabric cleaner, so you’ll save money whilst getting your clothes brighter and (environmentally) clean. And when cleaning your home with The Laundress products, you don't need to stress about abrasive chemicals getting on to your skin – these products and soft and delicious and oh-so gentle on your skin.
